Yasser Assamo

I’m Yasser Assamo, an elite South African padel player originally from Durban and now based in Johannesburg. Before padel, I played professional tennis, which built the competitive mindset that still drives me today.

I have a university degree, but I chose to follow my passion for sport and competition instead. Padel quickly became the perfect fit, and I’ve been focused on competing at a high-level while being part of the sport’s growth in South Africa.

I’m proud to be an Adidas ambassador and to represent a brand that reflects the values I believe in — performance, passion, and enjoying the process. For me, it’s all about competing, improving, and doing what I love on court.
