Luca Radmanovic | South African | Padel Player | LOK

I have always been a sports driven person. Anything that got me outside and being productive grabbed my attention. From a young age I took part in almost every sport. Only later in my childhood years, I decided to specialise in 3 main sports: Rugby, which also consisted of 7s, Cricket and Athletics. It was through Rugby, as well as my father, that my passion to become better was sparked. I have had the privilege to represent my school PBHS at its highest level, playing 1st team rugby and continued my rugby career after school at club level. It was after my last rugby season that padel was put into my path and since then I was hooked. From the only racket sport exposure I had growing up was fooling around on squash and tennis courts to wanting to take padel seriously was a big adjustment for me. Starting on the back foot compared to my friends and opponents was very clear at the start but my determination towards training and becoming better allowed me to “slowly” catch-up to everyone else. In hindsight it was a blessing as I don’t have any of the “bad habits” of typical tennis and squash players that are new into padel. Currently I am proud enough to say that I am part of the top players in Pretoria as well as Head Coach at Virgin Active Centurion and well on my way into hopefully becoming part of the top players in the country. I am proud and thankful to be sponsored by Lok Padel. With their help towards my determination to achieve and exceed my goals, I am grateful to have them be a part of my journey.
